I took 14 of my scouts and 6 adults stopping by here for dinner before our flight. Dustin our waiter is wonderful. They were nice enough to let us split the check into 20. Food quality is good. I had their garlic burger. It was moist and full of roasted garlic flavor come with Cajun fries. Everyone else seemed to enjoyed their food. We just came from backpacking in Yellowstone.

Eh. I hadn't been in years and I won't go back anytime soon. Calamari app was ridiculously greasy and over breaded. Red pepper hummus was tasty. Spinach dip bland. Buffalo chicken pizza sauce was good but the crust was puffy thick and cheese and chicken paper thin. Mediterranean chopped salad had no flavor. White pizza was okay, get it without the ham.

Awful pizza- Up since 5am and traveling. Stopped here across from my gate to eat something in the Salt Lake City airport. Was starving so I would have literally eaten cardboard... Which, as it turns out, exactly the pizza I ended up with. Asked the counter girl if the pizza looked right- she admitted that it looks the way they usually do... Will not order here again.

The food was not fantastic and the service was awful! My husband and I have never been here before and we decided to try it for lunch while in the Sugar House area. It was a huge disappointment. My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered a pizza. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza and it was very greasy. My husband's hamburger came out and it didn't look appealing at all....my husband asked our waitress if he can exchange his hamburger for something else and she got really upset. She asked us "Why? What's wrong with it?" my husband replied "The hamburger meat looks really sad." (His nice way of saying it looks terrible.) She asked us what we wanted to do and my husband asked if we could exchange the untouched food for something else. She grabs the plate and stomps over to her co workers and SO NOT inconspicuously says negative things about how we don't want to eat the hamburger.... Wow! The rudest waitress I ever had! My husband and I were so dumbfounded by the way she was talking about us since we could clearly hear everything she is saying! This is free a country and everyone is entitled to their own opinions however have the common decency to take it to the back if you are going to say negative things about your customers! One other couple along with my husband and I were the only other customers in the restaurant at the time. It wasn't as if she was too busy or overwhelmed to give us friendly and proper customer service. Let's just say we finished our food and didn't leave her a good tip. Never again! If you want good food and service go across the street to Neapolitan Pizza.

I want to say the food was good, I really do. It used to be good. But the quality has gone significantly downhill over the years. I keep going back in hopes that I'll time it right to get good food again. And, unfortunately last night was the absolute worst quality I have ever gotten from this place. I've seriously had better food from a $0.99 frozen dinner. The staff has always been friendly and we really like the new manager, but... I ordered the vegetarian sandwich. Not a very hard thing to screw up too bad. The veggies were soggy, my bread was soggy, and the focaccia was just BAD, cheaply made garbage. My husband's burrito was half the size they used to be and said was the worst he's ever had from here. Kids meals were okay. Not bad, but not good either. Cheesecake was alright and tiramisu was soggy, cheaply made garbage. Come on guys, bring the quality back up before you lose all your business (although I don't know that I'll be coming back after last night's final disappointment). @growingfourlife

I don't know at what point one becomes a regular at a restaurant, but I've been to this restaurant well over a dozen times in the last couple years. Each time has always been a good experience. Very nice staff, great music/ambiance and plenty of local beers on tap. I love that they are connected to Fiddlers Elbow for those times I want something that Fiddlers but I have the kiddos with me. Pizzas and burgers are all great and they have plenty of Gluten free/vegan to satisfy the inner hipster one may be accompanied with at this great local spot.

A-OK. Tried the pizza, the pasta, and a couple different beers. All in all, a really good experience. Service was solid, too.

The food was good, but the service was horrible! We waited for at least 20 minutes before I got up and asked to our server was, because no one had come to our table. Finally a different waiter came to our table to take our order. When the waiter we were supposed to have, came over, he was repeating over and over how busy he was. Every time he came to our table he would repeat, "I am slammed, it is so busy!". When our food finally came out, they had ordered an adult meal for my son, and when we asked if it was the kid size, he threw his hands in the air and said "hey, I didn't take your order!" he then said he would bring us another kids meal, we told him no, only because it took so long for the first time. Over all, our service was a bad experience, however the food was not bad.

Went here because it was one of the only places open after 10. Pizza quality was awful. The dough was uncooked, and the sauce was so watery that it created a pool in the middle of the pan. Ingredients were not fresh and were bland. Soda was watered down too. Syrup was low. Waiter was nice, hence the 2 stars. Floors were sticky. Price was way too high for such low quality. Buy a $1 frozen pizza at the store and you'll enjoy it better.

Came in around 8:45 on a Sunday evening with my girlfriend. At first was worried because entire restaurant was empty, thinking that they maybe be closed or getting ready to close but Dusten, a great server told us that they were open till 10! Had some beers, their pizza special that night (it had bacon and goat cheese on it) and the girlfriend had a delicious pasta dish. Dusten was very attentive and the price was just right. I'll be back

Over priced and not that great. You just as well go to McDonalds. Stopped by on 2/2 at 7:30am ...... Don't mess with or question the cashier, even if she's wrong, she's right

We decided to try this place out as we had a hankering for pizza and were in the Sugarhouse area. My husband got a buffalo chicken pizza, which was reasonably good, but nothing to write home about. I opted at the last minute for one of the specials of the day: Gorgonzola Walnut Chicken Pasta. It sounded delightful, but tasted terrible. Even my husband with his less than discerning palate thought it wasn't worth eating. On top of that service was not great - we had to flag down our server to get any drink refills or the check after a very long time. Between mediocre food and mediocre/bad service - we will take out pizza hankering elsewhere next time.

I'm not sure what exactly is wrong with this place, but it's one of the few I would say has no real reason to exist. The pasta dishes looked like something from my old high school kitchen, when they would fill baking tray after baking tray with elbow macaroni in a gloppy concoction they perhaps jokingly referred to as "sauce". The decor of this place was atrocious the time I was there, the place does have a very palpable odd and off-putting odor, the lighting was too dim for the place, the wait staff is ambivalent and the pizza...outside of this incredibly horrid kid's pizza I unknowingly ordered for my son (do the world a favor and order anything BUT that, if you ever go there...no reason to inflict that kind of misery on anyone else), this also marks one of the worst pizzas I've had the misfortune of having. I tried their pizza a few more times on the Fiddler's Elbow side, as I understood they shared a kitchen and Fiddler's, while moderately substandard (check my review), at least is usually edible, but nothing much better. It simply is pizza not worth eating and given the price, there is no point to consider it. Given some of the reviews that are indicating that it might have improved, I briefly considered going back, but have decided that there are a lot of other places (namely pretty much anything else) that deserve my support first.

All around great food and good booze but don't go their if you want a buzz on a Tuesday because you'll get 6.50$ mt dew and piss when you really want a whiskey sour. Other than that you'll have a good time any other day, which is sad cause I love this place most other times and the guy my group usually gets is great (and he knows who the Aquabatsand the big lebowski are) but the lady this time kept throwing me shade about throwing up and getting different drinks. Probably watered me down so she could get a bigger tip.

We couldn't get into Fiddler's next door, because I am not 21. But alas, they suggested we come over to SLPP because they share a kitchen and what not. I didn't go with pizza or pasta, but instead the garlic burger with gouda cheese, bacon and avocado. A decent and nice effort. Fries were lackluster and burger was good, so this place does all right by me. I do have to agree with some of the reviews here about the smell. Not sure what was going on there. But the service was excellent. Rosie who waited on us was incredibly friendly. This restaurant is pretty much average. Which can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. It's doable in a pinch.

I love this place. I read some other reviews and was shocked! I have been there three seperate times and I have never noticed the smell. The wait staff goes one way or the other: either very bubbly and friendly or somewhat standoffish. The food is delicious (although occasionally lacking in flavor, but hey what are salt and pepper for?). The prices are very fair and they have a good alcohol menu. Additionally since they share the kitchen with fiddlers elbow you have a huge selection of food to choose from. Overall, it's better than most family styles and less expensive. It's the best your going to do without going into the "fine dining" spectrum and we love it.

I hate to give two star reviews, but I just can't force myself to go higher on this one. SLP & P is just not that good. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. It seemed like a no-brainer dish at a place with "pasta" in its name. The meatballs were actually very good. They had really good savory flavor, perfect texture and were the perfect size (I'd call it medium). The pasta, however, was not good. It was obviously mass-produced pasta from a package and it was way overcooked. Think Olive Garden pasta and you're almost there. This was even worse. The sauce was very blah. I had to hit it hard with red pepper flakes to give it some personality. And there wasn't enough sauce either. The bread sticks that came with my pasta were chewy and seemed old. The flavor was decent, but overall they were pretty bad. Lisa got the vegetarian sandwich. It sounded great, with tons of ingredients. It had portabello mushroom, eggplant, yellow squash and lots of other veggies. The only thing it didn't have is taste. I'm not sure how you add double-digit ingredients and still manage to make a bland sandwich. The teen ordered a black bean burger and it was mediocre at best. She was starving, so she ate it, but was utterly underwhelmed. The beer and wine prices were pretty spendy, but they did have a good selection. Our server did a great job and the ambiance is okay. There are just so many great places to eat in this area that I don't envision a return anytime soon. It's been 10 years since my last visit... and I may wait another 10 to go back.

The bad reviews are puzzling to me. While the wait staff seemed a touch disorganized, our waiter made up for it with personal attention. The pizza is why you're here, though the burgers and pasta's exceeded expectations. My favorite part of the meal was the sun dried tomato and roasted garlic pizza. With strong goat cheese and fresh basil, it offered an impressive spectrum of color and flavor to the palette, leaving little to be desired. Overall, a great place to take people if you're looking for a happy medium between casual and fine dining.

This place is pretty good. They have okay food overall, it didn't blow me away but it filled me up. The artichoke dip is sent from heaven, but the spaghetti lacked some depth of flavor and the "breadsticks" with it were really not good. The vanilla ice cream was good, but the fruit cobbler tasted the way armpits smell....it was weird. Also, they don't serve any energy drinks with vodka... :(

We stopped in in our trip to SLC and thought it was great. The pizza was delish...whole roasted garlic cloves.....YUM!!!!! The employees were all super friendly and the waitress was more then helpful with beer recommendations. We will defiantly be going back.

Despite the fact that our server was clearly stoned, our food wasn't awful. My boyfriend and I shared a garlic and sun dried tomato pizza that was actually pretty good until two and a half hours later when the food poisoning kicked in. Never eating here again.

Good prices, nice beer selection, good service. I personally didn't like the pizza we got but my boyfriend loved it. For me, I just am not a big artichoke fan, but the flavor was good.

If I cant get into Fiddlers next door, I will come to here. I have enjoyed all the food I have ordered here. And the staff has always been friendly. The big plus in my book is that they share kitchens with Fiddlers next door. You can order off either menu. And that gives you a lot of options for food. But like others have talked about. Every time you walk into this place there is a really bad smell. It goes away after being inside for awhile. But when you first walk in its pretty overwhelming. And honestly that is why I would prefer going to Fiddlers. It is a clean place so I don't understand the smell at all. But I am sure I will be back again.
(3)
Maggie P.
It's a great place to go with the whole family. The food is fairly decent and the sevice is great! The only thing a have to complain about is the smell when you first walk in. It's a very strong smell of a cleaning product. It's always been there and I'm sure it always will be. And as with any smell, you get used to it after a while. I guess it's good to know that its always clean.

Came here after we had no service at fiddlers elbow, literally ignnored by the 5 servers working. We were one of 3 tables. The stench was like clorox and damp towels sitting out too long, Server was good at first when it went downhill quickly. He made a good call on the house dressing then we saw him sit down and just down some chicken wings with the other server. Licking his fingers and not washed he brought our food out when i noticed his finger was bleeding and when i asked he just sucked on it to clean it up, GROSS!!!! And you want me to eat my food?? Really? No management on duty, I took my food to go because there was no way in hell i was going to eat it and i chucked it. $50 bucks later you better believe i will be calling tomorrow to complain. That is just in-acceptable behavior!!! Shame on this whole company!!! Stay away if you want "clean" food. Update 12/12 i went in and talked to the manager, explained our whole experience. She could not believe it and not only did she refund me but gave me a $25 gift card to hopefully get us back. It might take a while bu nice gesture for sure!

This is a favorite of ours. We always get the calamari ( fried perfectly and they give you a lot), and we've also had the wings, garlic burger, pizza and pastas...all muy delicioso! The atmosphere is casual, place is clean and staff is nice.

I have been here twice and I am reviewing my most recent experience only.... My husband took my daughter and I here for Brunch today and it was very good. we were promptly greeted and got sat at a nice, clean table. Our server was great. She was very attentive and polite. I ordered the Almond French Toast. It came with fruit and bacon. It was delicious and very reasonably priced at $7.50 for all that food. The french toast had the almond crusted to the outside of it and when you added the syrup, it gave a very nice and unique flavor. My husband got the Special Omelette and it came with potatoes. He loved it and said the flavor was very good. Even the bacon was good. It wasn't the cheap kind that I was expecting. It was thick cut and very flavorful. It had a smoky apple taste. Overall, I would recommend SLP&P for brunch. During another meal time, I would not say the same.

Salt Lake Pizza and Pasta is a classic example of a business that should have folded years ago. I think it hangs on because of location (heart of Sugarhouse), loyal customers (who are blind to how horrible it has become), and some strange mix of cheap rent and $3 pints. That's my theory anyway. This review will focus on the pizza. It is without a doubt the worst pizza in SLC. I consider it well below Little Caesar's, which is far cheaper. I recently ordered the sasuage and wild mushroom pizza. The dough was over-worked and over-cooked. The toppings were so fucked up I don't even know where to start. The "cook" included 3-4 mushrooms of some variety. They might be considered wild if you live in a bubble. The "cook" also included andouille sausage when it was supposed to have been Italian. Also, there were jalapenos added just to fuck with us. All of this was made into the ultimate disaster by including what must have been a full pound of cheese. It was more cheese than even The Pie uses. The very nature of wild mushroom and sausage pie is that you probably want to back OFF the cheese a little so that the mushroom texture and flavor has a chance to shine. When a slice was removed the surrounding cheese oozed over to cover the gap. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. It was like a sci-fi movie occurring before our very eyes. Just so we're clear--when the waiter asked me "how's your food" I told him it was the worst pizza EVAR. I also wrote my complaints on the receipt (the best way to make sure it gets noticed--receipts get saved by management). I'd like to take this review in a more philosophical direction now...is it fair to call the person who made this travesty an asshole? Is it a crime against nature to serve absolute shit like SLP&P? My biased answers are Yes and Yes, but I leave you, the reader, to judge for yourself. *Epilogue: a member of my dining party insisted on taking the remaining pizza home. I obliged but then left the box in a CityWeekly vending machine. My son removed the box and gave it to a homeless person. That's admirable, but he should feel guilty for serving shit to the homeless.

This place has decent food at good prices and is a good place for families. My wife and I joke that this is the Sugar house family club and it meets every Friday night. This is not a big place and it can fill up quickly with young Sugar house families with their 1 or 2 kids. Parents have beer or wine and pasta and kids get a small pizza and lemonade. It is not a quite place on evenings like that. The food is not amazing but it is consistently good. I like the white pizza's and the raviolis. They have an extensive beer menu and the service is usually good though they can get very busy on weekend nights. This is a regular place for my family and it will stay so.

We have been here twice. Stick to the pizza and the pulled pork nachos. These items are very good. Stay away from anything else. I ordered the special which was terrible! Fortunately, they allowed me to pick a new menu item, quickly delivered it and did not make us pay for the unwanted entree. Not a bad place if you are in Sugarhouse for dinner. Typically there are a lot of families - just be warned.

Salt Lake Pizza & Pasta. Aww.....I sure do miss this place now that I do not live in SLC. This place is my FAVvVvOooorite Pizza Place in SLC! They have yummy toppings such as sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. You can build your own pizza with toppings for under $13. The best part about this place is their 32 beer selections available on tap! They have great local beers and the delicious all around favs. Full Suspension is a beer you have try if your not from Utah.... Price: $$ Service: Good

This was a favorite of ours for many years, until they started serving brunch and now breakfast. We loved the pizza and food specials and the service was great. This review is strictly about the breakfast/brunch experiment. The first week that SLP&P started serving bruch last year we went. There were only a couple of tables of customers but the service was extremely slow. When the food finally came it was only okay. It started serving breakfast beginning at 7:30, so we decided to give it another try. Bad choice. We got there at 8:10 and were the only customers until a couple of guys came in a little over an hour later. The only server on duty delivered the menu and took our coffee order. When he brought our coffee I ordered the traditional egg breakfast and my wife ordered the miniature Belgian waffles. Our server sat at the bar writing on the specials board for the next 20 - 25 minutes while we waited and our coffee got cold. Finally I had to ask him to warm up our coffee: "Oh, you want more coffee?" We got the coffee and waited another 20 minutes, with no further visit from our server, until our orders were served. My wife's waffles were cold so I had to get the server's attention away from the specials board and ask to have them warmed up. 5 minutes later they were returned and still too cold to melt the room temperature butter. This was absolutely the worst service we have ever experienced. From now on it will be breakfast at the Park or one of the other fine breakfast places in Salt Lake. If PP&P was serious about breakfast/lunch they should have put some effort into it rather than hurt their reputation. After the first experience we were concerned that it was going down. After our last experience we aren't concerned anymore since we won't be back.

salt lake city pizza and past in sugarhouse: this place is wonderful! they do real cooking here, with fresh ingredients. this place is farrr more than pizza and pasta they have a great menu with something for everybody, including veggie folk. fun appetizers daily specials ( try the raviolis..yummy!) the flank steak is superb. terrific homemade soups and great salads. delicious homemade salad dressings. wonderful burgers very affordable and generous portions. great selection of wine and beer the staff are warm, kind, friendly and very helpful. NICK, the waiter, was an angel to me. He is really good at what he does. one of the best places in salt lake city. a real find. and they serve 'til 11 !!!

My husband and I stopped here on the way home from a road trip. We were both in the mood for pasta and used Yelp to help us find something in the area. I really enjoyed the atmosphere within the restaurant (cozy booths and soft lighting) and the menu seemed to offer a good variety of both food and beer to choose from. When taking our order, the waitress failed to tell us about any of their drink specials. Our meals arrived quickly, and upon tasting it, we were pretty sure it was because they had microwaved a frozen dinner and served it to us. The bread was stale, and both of our pasta dishes lacked any kind of flavor. Our experience didn't get any better, as the waitress didn't return to offer more drinks, and even took her time bringing our check. We'll certainly look for a decent dinner elsewhere next time we're in the area.

Decent place. Service is ok, food is fairly priced. A little out of the way and the bar in back (The Fiddler's Elbow) shares the same kitchen, so just head there for a good time.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(2)Lizzie W.
(3)Emily S.

(3)Maggie P.

I stumbled across this place on accident and i am glad i did! i have been back several times now, and i have not been disappointed! the menu is simple, yet diverse enough to please everyone. fresh ingredients and affordable prices. the perfect place to go when you are indecisive.
(4)Cecilia L.

(4)Ken C.
(3)Ryan B.
The food here is really good. The service is good. The Sunday brunch is also good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't been here before.

Very nice restaurant!!! Good food, friendly service, relaxing atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious food! The garlic burger is incredible and the buffalo chicken pizza is some of the best I've ever had. Food is fairly priced and the service is good, great beer selection as well.

salt lake city pizza and past in sugarhouse: this place is wonderful! they do real cooking here, with fresh ingredients. this place is farrr more than pizza and pasta they have a great menu with something for everybody, including veggie folk. fun appetizers daily specials ( try the raviolis..yummy!) the flank steak is superb. terrific homemade soups and great salads. delicious homemade salad dressings. wonderful burgers very affordable and generous portions. great selection of wine and beer the staff are warm, kind, friendly and very helpful. NICK, the waiter, was an angel to me. He is really good at what he does. one of the best places in salt lake city. a real find. and they serve 'til 11 !!!
(5)Jill S.
(1)alejandro f.
Great place to grab a beer and some nachos topped with bbq pulled pork and guacamole, a great combo. Also the pizza and pasta dishes are reasonably priced and reasonably palatable as well.
(4)Zak K.
Decent place. Service is ok, food is fairly priced. A little out of the way and the bar in back (The Fiddler's Elbow) shares the same kitchen, so just head there for a good time.
(3)D. W.
(1)John E.
(2)Lizzie W.
(3)Emily S.

(4)Eileen C.
(2)Karen S.
(1)Diana H.
(1)Laurel S.

(5)Brett K.
A-OK. Tried the pizza, the pasta, and a couple different beers. All in all, a really good experience. Service was solid, too.
(4)Kylie M.
(3)Gabe A.
(2)Chadd R.
I'll be back
(4)Adam M.
Over priced and not that great. You just as well go to McDonalds. Stopped by on 2/2 at 7:30am ...... Don't mess with or question the cashier, even if she's wrong, she's right
(1)Lauren M.
(2)Kendall A.

(3)Charles S.
(2)Alex G.
(4)N B.
(3)Jason W.
Had the special pizza and pasta... Amazing pesto chicken Pizza and Chicken carbonara with perfectly cooked asparagus! The service was just as awesome as the food! Our server Dusten was ver interactive and attentive.
(5)Jenn B.
We stopped in in our trip to SLC and thought it was great. The pizza was delish...whole roasted garlic cloves.....YUM!!!!! The employees were all super friendly and the waitress was more then helpful with beer recommendations. We will defiantly be going back.

Great place to grab a beer and some nachos topped with bbq pulled pork and guacamole, a great combo. Also the pizza and pasta dishes are reasonably priced and reasonably palatable as well.

Decent place. Service is ok, food is fairly priced. A little out of the way and the bar in back (The Fiddler's Elbow) shares the same kitchen, so just head there for a good time.
